Hello, I’m Steph, founder and CEO of Boho & Blyth. If you’ve found your way here, welcome. I’m so pleased you have.

Boho & Blyth began with a simple belief: that every woman deserves to feel confident in what she wears, whatever her age, life circumstances or reason for getting dressed that day.

Like so many women, I’ve worn many hats (and coats) over the years. Alongside building Boho & Blyth I spent years working in the corporate world. At 60, I should be thinking of retiring... but divorce in my 40's was searingly expensive, and I didn't even start a pension until 55 - what a plonker! But honestly, I don't know what I would do with myself if I was retired! 

More recently I supported my second husband through cancer and my Mum living with us with Alzheimers.  Like so many of the women around me I juggle full time work with being a carer, mortgage payer and problem solver. 

Although an extrovert by nature, I struggle with my confidence. My weight  has spiralled out of control many times as I use food to suppress feelings.

I have always over-shopped, never being able to make a presentation or go out for dinner without the armour of a new top.

Clothes have been a cloak to hide under, a comforting hug, or a performance showing the World I've Got This!

Clothes can express a mindset, a new beginning, our energy, mood, unique personality and of course, confidence.

Today, at Boho & Blyth every decision I make is shaped by the same belief that inspired me from the very beginning.

Fashion should never make women feel excluded or pigeon-holed. 

It should help every woman feel free, creative and more like herself. Her confident self.

When I opened Boho & Blyth, I wasn’t simply opening a boutique.

I wanted to create a place where women could slow down, browse without pressure and enjoy getting dressed again.

Over the years I’ve met hundreds of incredible women.

Women balancing careers, relationships, grandchildren, caring responsibilities, retirement, bereavement, new adventures and everything in between.

Many tell me they no longer know what suits them or what suits the occasion. Our World has changed, there has been less dressing up, less going out, increased casual dressing even for life’s big moments. 

Some say they always end up wearing the same colour, style or brand because it’s easier. Others confess they’ve lost confidence after their bodies changed or life took an unexpected turn.

What I’ve learned is this:

• Women never stop loving the feeling of increased confidence bought about by beautiful clothes.
• Sometimes they simply need someone to remind them how wonderful they already are, whatever they choose to wear.

That’s where Boho & Blyth comes in.

• Our customers aren’t defined by age. They’re defined by how they want to feel.

We buy in small quantities because we believe in offering something a little different, rather than rows of the same thing.

People often tell me that Boho & Blyth feels different.

I hope that’s because it is.

Of course we love beautiful clothes, but what matters most is how people feel when they visit us.

Our boutiques in Halesworth and Framlingham are surrounded by everything we love—historic market towns, independent businesses, beautiful countryside and the stunning Suffolk coast.

Our customers often combine a visit to us with coffee, lunch, a walk, or a day exploring the area.

That slower pace of life inspires everything we do. Relaxed. Thoughtful. Unhurried.
